The undisputed King of MR2's is without doubt Mr Paul Woods, and you can quote me on that one mate! ;)

He managed to sort out my dead-car (http://forums.twobrutal.com/showthread.php?p=141556#post141556) over the phone in less than an hour, and considering I was an inch from selling everything and giving up on her, I am very grateful for his help cheers Paul

Thanks to Ratty for coming over & helping tonight and to everyone who convinced me not to sell-up...!!!

Turns out that it was nothing to do with what I previously thought, but good old IMOC "Darryn" from up Scottyland sent me a duff AFM (i'd completely forgotten that i'd changed this over prior to putting everything back together, post injector fixing) so thanks for that :thumbsup: you nearly caused me to completely give up on everything...!

Na not that bad well acording to the other forums but lets just say, noone from TB is likely to go to them again.

They may be good but bad press always outweighs the good and they have a 1 tonne wieght on the bad compared to the feather on the good

glad we got there in the end ash,the clue was the check engine light or lack of,then when the small plug on the ecu was pulled and the light came on it meant something on that circuit was playing up,the AFM is on that plug..... simple deduction really!

Cheer chaps... yeah as the Ratster says - there was a moment of realisation when Paul said AFM, as I remembered that I'd been sent a new one off IMOC and made the switch.

It also explains why I once could pull fault codes before I'd put everything back together, and then suddenly it stopped working when I went for the proper test.

Thanks for your patience and help Paul - you used some clever diagnosis techniques which just proves the quality of your knowledge!!
