Has anyone done an cover like the one above? Im thinking about making one but have some concerns about how it would affect the engine bay cooling.
I've read that the way the engine area was created helps pull air from the bottom of the car and out the top by creating a low pressure zone behind the rear window. It seems to me that with the hatch cover on the low pressure zone would be reduced or eliminated. I've been looking at the design of the NSX rear hatch cover and noticed that there are no vents in it. I've been trying to figure out how the air flows through the engine bay but haven't found a good diagram or reference to it. You guys have any ideas?
My main reason for doing the hatch cover would be for looks but I've read that it would help the aero dynamics also.
