It looks like my master cylinder or servo is leaking fluid (although the level is still at max after a year??) so i assume it should be replaced... the paint is soft in the area behind/underneath the servo and there's a puddle in the wheel well.
what's the best option. a std mk1 unit or perhaps a mk2 turbo unit, if it's more suitable for a mk1.5?
Currently got the mk1b calipers but after an st185 upgrade.

Advice appreciated!

i use just the standard mk1 version but some have upgraded to the mk2 . i have had no problems with the mk1 master cyl. hope that helps?

i have just swapped my mk1.5 over to the mk2 booster, we finally have descent brakes even with std mk1 fronts and rears.

did you swap just the booster or the master cylinder as well? Was it a mk2 NA? I know there are different types available... cheers
