So after I did this and that the car is giving me the run around on starting. I'm starting to think that a standalone is my only option only because I can't get ahold of enough stock pieces to use the stock ECU (http://www.mr2.com/forums/autolink.php?id=50&script=showthread&forumid=74). I'm missing alot of things and I simply cannot buy them or get ahold of a parts car out here. Right now my problem is lack of a ignitor and figuring out the factory wiring. It seems that my car completely does not follow the factory diagrahms at all. Is there a serious difference between the Canadian and U.S. spec MR2's in the fuse box ? Now here's the kicker,my buddies 91' Turbo follows the digrams to the T. His car like mine it all stock ( or mine was ) in the engine bay until recently modified. Does anyone have any suggestions before I go crazy..http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/12/1.gifhttp://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/12/2.gifhttp://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/12/3.gifhttp://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/12/4.gif.....

BTW:

How do you know if you have a canadian MR2 ? My stock ignitor # is 89621-30010 and chassie number is SW21-00164.

P.S.

Anyone know someone I can just send this too and forget about it ? I'm getting to the point I just want this done and I really don't care how. It's killing me and it's starting to become a strain on the wallet. Wiring exerts anyone willing to put up with this possibly canadian headace ?

Cant see the wiring being vastly different to any other mr2.
In order for it to be majorly different the production line would have to accomodate the changes too, i cant see that being so.

What you need is a multimeter, a stock wiring diagram for an mr2 of your year, and pauls wiring guide.
Then use the multimeter to pin by pin check the necessary connections, modifying where necessary the wiring colours that dont match the diagram.
As long as they go where theyre supposed to, the colours then dont matter at all. Theres very few connections to be made so you should really be able to sort it via the method above.

What are the parts youre missing?
That's the thing, nothing seems to make much sense on the car, don't get me wrong we have a badass multi tester for everything. The thing is the toyota wire diagram doesn't seem to be much help. We've finally got a hold of everything and starting to get somewhere. I'll wait for after X-mas before I decide to mess with the car anymore then I already have.

As for parts it's the igniter and I need to change out the TPS and IAC because they where damage during transport. It's nothing big really but we're thinking the ECU might require everything to be connected to warrent the car to start.

Also,
I have gone over this "idiots" proof guide time and time again and I keep finding things wrong with it. For example on the "injector" wiring the guide says the wires go to two different locations. One is amplifier/coil feed and another one goes to injector power ups. When you wire these two together all it does is make the injectors constantly on all the time. This would intern make them batch fire like wouldn't it ? On the factory diagram it shows injector timing controls, where are these on the car ?
Another question I have is with the four black and orange wire from the ECU,what are these for exactly ??? It says to add/connect them to a key hot in the fuse box. This is a 12v signal but the black orange wires are shown on the factory diagram as getting 5v signals from various sensors and controls. Is anything in this guide worth a damn or are we simply chopping and swapping everything just enough for the car to run ???? Turns out my alt senc wire is actually in the FRONT of the damn car comming from the ALT SENC fuse..roflmao. The more I get into this wiring thing the more of a pain in the ass it seems...wow...how fun.

PM me your email addy and ill send you a pdf of the 3vzfe wiring diagram that shows all the conns for the v6 ecu including your orange wires.
That diagram shows how to wire it up to run the engine but youll still have to test to find which pins connect where on the car harness.
Youll have to test the wiring to pick up on alt sense, coolant sender for the gauge, ems light etc on the car but once you have them youre halfway home.

I think i have a tps and iscv; i know ive got an ignitor for the v6.
Thanks man and PM sent !
