im just getting the bits together to do my headgasket swap on my 3vz-fe and wondered if i should change the headbolts? I usually would as a matter of course but my local motorfactors tell me that they are not stretch bolts and the old ones can be reused.
opinions please??

Thanks for the replies. So are they actually stretch bolts or not?

Yep. Apparently reuseable once but i dont like em, better to get a set of arp studs, you can have them off as many times as you like within reason. :)
i don't intend to have them off too often so i'll think i'll just get a set of bolts off Shirley on ebay for £21 all in.

as i recall from the thread some where on here there was some one saying that the arp mitsubishi one fit but u have to grind them down cause they are a tad too long but u can also use them for the bottom end bearings.

tad equals a couple of mm does the heat generated by grinding them not have any detriment to the strength of the bolt.
