Been messing around with making an adapter plate to make the supercharger engine lid mate up with the N/A catch, if people didn't know the supercharger catch is around 12cm to one side of the N/A catch to allow extra room for the intercooler i presume, although i'm not going to be taking this idea any further as a new plan has been hatched but thought this may be of use to you all,

Take one AW11 supercharger engine lid:-

Drill out 4 pot-rivits and cut off the supercharger "hoop' be careful though these holes are needed in the end product

Sit and think about what you have just done, try and think of an idea of how to fix this:rofl:

five minutes pass and an idea is created, draw said idea onto cardboard and cut out

OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo, this looks like it could work, draw cardboard cut out onto metal,

Now realise that feckin card reader on computer has just buggered up and no more pics can be transfered

Well here's the rest in written form, if you can see where the pencil line on the metal is, that is where the 'hook' needs to be to line up with the N/A catch,

All i have done for now is screw the plate in place with some interior screw's, i had an idea that some fancy threaded pot-rivits may be a better way to hold it in place,

I have had a different metal plate made up for me to try out of some 2mm steel but upon testing found the lower arm would bend out of shape when trying to push the lid shut, so what this may mean is that thicker steel is giong to be needed, or some sort of between the plate an lid

For the 'hook' i used 8mm bar and bent it into a U shape to bridge across the 2 arms,
first cut the bar into a 100mm length, then measure 20mm in from either end leaving a 60mm center, this is the width needed to bridge the arm's, bend the bar into a U shape, this is where a bit of trial and error is needed, what i did was superglue the bar in place first then try to shut the lid, i found this the best way to find out how much what height was needed to be able to get the catch to shut, i found that about 15mm was the needed height. but this may be slightly different from car to car,

anywhoo here is a nice pic for you all with some measurements if you should need them and i shall edit it with some new pics when my card reader is fixed

Plate over all size:- 200mm x 80mm
Section cut from between arms:- 60mm x 40mm, leaving two 60mm x 20mm arms,

Holes to be drilled to line up with drilled out rivits:-

All holes were 6mm
The Yellow purple and green holes are all 15mm from their nearest side
The yellow hole is 113mm from the green hole
The Yellow hole is 44mm from the blue hole
The purple hole is 43mm from the green hole
The purple hole is 105mm from the blue hole

Bar needed for 'hook' length:- 100mm x 8mm
Bar is fixed around 20mm from the end of the arms where the red line is, but trial and error is needed to be sure as it may differ from car to car

I think thats everything, if i have missed anything then just holla

Thanks Si
