Alright, here we go again, round 2 :welcome:
Some of you may remember my old topic(http://forums.twobrutal.com/showthread.php?t=8191), where i started my project and put a lot of time and money in the preparation, getting the right tools has always been a must for me. I hate working with crappy tools or not having the right tool for the job.
Unfortunatley, someone broke into my shed and stole every last piece of my hardware.. my air tools, sockets, wrenches, eveything gone, i had no screwdriver left. This messed up the timing of the project bigtime, especially when the insurance didnt pay out anything because i shouldnt have kept so much (expensive) tools in the shed.. where else am i going to leave them? In the kitchen? Anyway: i saved up some money and bought some new stuff, and rebought the same airtool set..
Now im working as a software service engineer for a company that makes and maintaines industrial scales, so i can use the tools i got from my boss:jump:
New hand tools:

My new favorite toy, this thing costs about as much as a complete 3vz-fe, but since i can use it for free, its great
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/cezemt.jpg
And something to search the forums and read the forums, a new dell xps series notebook( i believe im supposed to use it for work to, but thats just a vage thought...)
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/kestho.jpg
So first i needed an upgrade in my deluxe-garage (read: tent), since winter is coming, and im usually home late, i lit the place up like a christmas tree. I never did anything with ac 230v, so im happy with the result ( read: no-one died or got cought on fire )

And here's the beast:driving: Im very happy i finally got it, Japoto Japanse Parts here in holland held on to this engine for me for about 6 months. Since i didnt have any tools and no room to safely store the engine there was no use having it..
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/4g1cek.jpg
I started taking it apart the day i got it, after the 3 hour job of getting it out of my van and into the shed with 2 guys and no crane over a 90cm wide path..
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/f8u2r.jpg
I had a mayor problem with the hex bolts on top of the engine housing.. The first one was a major pain but after heating it up, it came loose no problem.
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/hk3ujv.jpg
The second one however was a not just a pain but a major b**ch, i heated it up for over 15 mins but it wouldnt budge.. i hit it with a big persuasion tool but still nothing. Then i put some muscle into it and this happened:
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/75ypil.jpg
That was supposed to a decent hitachi bit...
After calling around to see if anyone had a 8mm hex on a socket, wich nobody did, i came up with something else:
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/rvpq3b.jpg
This air tool has got 675nm but still it took me a couple of minutes to get it.. This bolt alone cost me about 1,5 hours..
This is the state now:
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/w9kz1b.jpg
And there are the cams:
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/qbce7t.jpg
The whole engine looks surprisingley clean, theres harldy any rust, its completely dry and there no sludge. According to the guy at Japoto parts, the car ran about 130K KM, before the car got rear ended lol
And after a day of wrecking beautifull toyota technology, the add-on to my luxery garage, my luxery shed, looks like its been trought WWIII
http://www.pic-upload.de/28.10.07/vzlagd.jpg
Meanwhile i also started work on the interiour, took out the seats, panels and speakers. Ill be keeping the leather seets (they are in good condition and i just love them, ive tried other lighter racing seats but these are just the best) and the panels, the speakers will be replaced. The previsous owner already replaced the front speakers once but they could still use an upgrade.

And thats it for now, tomorrow i'll have some more time to take it further apart. And im also in the process of ordering all the small bits and pieces.
Does anybody have some good adresses for all the parts needed for the V6 build? I know theres a lot scattered around the forum but i want to make a list of the best (and cheapest) ways of getting all the mandatory parts. Im also looking for companies that can supply all the parts that are needed at once. Everybody knows how expansive it is to ship something from the USA, so its key to get everything from one or 2 companies to keep shipping cost down.
The list sofar:
Gasket set ( are there any good aftermarket sets available? or maybe get some made)
Oil+water pump, still have to check if i can revise those
Fuel Pump
Silicone hoses + clamps
New radiator hoses
Flywheel (fidanza maybe)
IC
Hydra
2 small turbo's (still deciding there)
Lowering springs+coilovers ( I got an offer for a second hand bilstein set of of a 94 turbo for 600 euro, but i dont know if thats a good price
Turbo >93 brakes calipers + new disks and pads, steel braided lines
Turbo box (e153) + axles, ive seen a proper lsd around on ebay but this is going to be a weekend car, not a racer, and i want it to go sideways:)
