View Full Version : Decided to turbo the mk1 now!

Just arranged a Rev2 rear clip (well most of the car actually), for a reasonable price, so decided ill now be going the turbo route over the v6 i was set on for the last few months! With any luck ill be ready to start removing the 4age in jan 08 after the tax runs out! The bodywork will be fixed properly later.

So whos near to me with a 1.5 turbo who i can hassle for info/underbonnet peeks/passenger rides for motivation?! :D

Well im not throwing the v6 idea away totally... when the right doner car turns up ill be stripping it before buying another mk1... ;) although tbh, by then im hoping the v8 is well documented (hurry up Mr Woods!!! :D ) and ill go that route ;)

Well that was pretty impressive ollie cheers for the ride :D ... shame there wasnt enough road to get out of third gear! Defo will benifit from a decent intercooler setup though!

but turbo is the way forward:P

Ash and I cacked outselves when we went very sideways in 3rd gear on a duel carriageway with a CRX trying to get past ! Apparently I did a good job of catching it... all I remember is excrement lol

Little update on how the conversion isnt going?! FINGER keeps changing his mind about his turbo clip/car, including RAISING his prices, and backing out of agreed deals,and re-advetising despite several people offering his asking prices! which has seriously annoyed me! Dont think he is on TB though so thats good!

However sam has been kind enough to offer me an engine with his 1.5 shell for a more than reasonable price, so we should be back on in the new year, with his black mk1!
