There's a few variations of these it seems, and I haven't fully got my head around them. There's twin pots like in the auction (which, btw, look bloody rough IMHO), a large single pot that looks similar to the ST185 conversion, then a smaller single pot fitted to the poverty-spec AT200 1.8L jobbies.

Anyone got better information on this one?

Cheers,
Jon @ STB

I've not read through it, but it has been tried:-

they are rough, but with the money and hard to get factor of the 185s i thought it may be worth a shot.
May get them and give em a shot anyway if i dont find any 185s...

Sign up to the GT4OC.net - they're always throwing ST185's away. That's where I got mine from. Just gotta get the bastards to fit under these fuggin wheels :(

very restrained there Colin, think I'd be saying more then fuggin, tis not as strong a swear filter as over on the OC :)

Tommy, I'd agree on saving the pennies, there are definatly plenty of options with less hassle other than what wheels do they fit under(damn 205's are too fuckin big for most things).

wots the biggest brake upgrade u can do front and back im going to either be puting 16 or 17 inch wheels on the mk1 when i ever find one .

I'll be seling my st202 setup pretty soon if you fancy them?

can fit anything with enough time and money, porsche calipers, brembo's etc

my mk1.5 has st205 4 pots and 300mm machined discs at front

22v turbo rear calipers and corrado front drilled and grooved discs at rear

Tommytank

I'll be running 16inch borbets like iron mike sherry's, so gonna go for the gusto and shoot for the 205s if i can. whats a typical setup to use on the rear in this circumstance u reckon?

the only thing to watch out for with 205 front brakes is the offset of the caliper v wheel spokes....i had 1mm clearance between my 205's and adikt wheels and that was AFTER shaving the word celica off the outside

ive got 325mm discs and porsche 996 four pots for my next build :)

Murf

if you have the same wheels as mike, i dont think you will have enough clearance, radially,to fit st205s. His brakes are well tight as it is!

Tommy, I think if you stick with those rims (which you should) then go with the single pot ST185 they can lock my wheels with no problem!

Or look at the WMS kit?

msherry21

Also a good option.

Tommytank

All things considered i think the WMS kit is turning into a very good option...
Has anyone got a link to the original thread about that, i cant find the bugger anywhere?

That said, im still not 100% on navigating twobrutal at all, as im still used to the SXOC style of forum having spent donkeys on that!

aye, bought a mk1 with the 3sgte engine, was either that or the nissan, decided to go for the mk1 as one came up at the right price, and its more of a sleeper than the s14...well it was till i fitted the 3" system on it lol

cars had a fair bit done to it but just final finishing needing done really, just put new ignition bits on it, then get it on the rolling road at AVA for a setup and printout, its david sleiths old car, theres pics of it in the gallery under his name

didnt you say you were selling the nissan for something a bit cheaper and easier to run?...i see that idea went out the window lol
