Thread: New suspension component bolts?

    New suspension component bolts?

I'm refurbing all my suspension components over winter, and it'd be nice if I could also replace all my old rusty bolts that hold ties rods etc in place. Anyone know how to find out the part numbers for them?

It probably be cheaper to take all your old bolts to be cleaned and plated than buy new, the inner bolts on both front and rear arms are £9 each and there's 4 of them for a start

Well I bought the kit, tried it out. I'm not convinced at the moment really. It doesn't appear to remove as much as I was expecting, whether this is due to unrealistic expectations or just limitations of the product, I don't know. I've still had to wire brush it to remove the final bits of shit on it, but saying that, it was very brief wire brushing and it does appear to now be bare metal and ready for further degreasing and priming. I've only tried it on heavy suspension components at the moment, lower arms and stuff. I'll give the bolts a clean up over Christmas hopefully.
