driveshaft problem! and a couple of pics

As i said before had the newly named "ballache" problem last week! but on stripping it down the part the boot goes onto is bent quite badly, is not round anymore, do you think this could be the reason for the balls falling into the boot?

should they be able to get out of the cage and into the boot?

should i try putting it back round again or is it not meant to be round?

if it is i m not sure i should heat it to get it back into shape, changing properties and all that


got a load more pics just need to sort them out and post them soon

well ive seen this outer part of the cv joint bent badly before but its just the part the boot secures onto,i cant see it having any effect on the inner bit where the balls sit,i think that would break before bending.

If you can dolly up the outside a little so the boot sits nicer then it should be ok.

incase i think i might leave it as it is its not to bent was just worried if that was going to make balls fall out again!
