Some images on how things are coming along. Was thinking total car in black. Engine bay and front luggage compartment blue of some sort. Maby the one like Paul used for Halim.. Was a great color. Anyway, some pics.

Removing this is my biggest fear until now. Arg, gonna be a mess getting it back together.


How on earth am i going to get this together again i don`t know. So many bits and small parts... Easy to tear it down but to rebuild, that`s another story;)

its a left hooker! fancy that, not seen one yet i think. progress coming on well shorty, thats a superb price for a walbro, they cost around 80 gbp here.

the thing I find most fascinating about the left hooker, is its done "properly".

Look at French cars, and they simply swap the entire dash to the other side; Toyota? Well, they make everything a mirror image!

Would be much easier to just move it over. Though it`s probably cheaper to buy the car with it on the other side then to make then change. Thought i try some welding today. First time for everything.

I thought i`d order a boost gauge and looked on this one here:

Then i noticed a complete boost controller and gauge kit. Is there any point to have a boost controller? Like this one:

The controller is just if i want to adjust the boost down right?

EDIT: I thought i`d just tell about my plan for gauges. I pland to have a panel where the stereo, lighter etc is which will have boost, oil pressure and air/fuel ratio gauges.

Small update. The engine is on it`s way. Atleast it`s supposed to be picked up by Schenker UK before the weekend. :)

And i also am looing for the celica elternator bracket. Now i found a guy on ebay, *BREAKING* TOYOTA CELICA 1989-1993 ALL PARTS AVAILABLE . Now will any celica bracket do or does it haveto be the '87? I asked him for a price and he said "There are two alternator brackets which hold it in place mate say ?15 GBP including postage?".

Now that`s a fair price but i`m unsure on the fitment. Anyone know?

have a read of this thread shorty, all explained on the brackets:
the piece you need to mount your alternator is pictured below in the thread, try and get the tensioner off him too.

at the very end of the head (cam side) theres a lifting hook bolted on. this hook you should unbolt, and your alternator bracket will bolt in exactly this place with the three bolts see the lifting hook here mate thats the standard turbo hook,
