    1mz port and polish

    I've been searching for answers if port and polishing 1mz vvti make any gains?
    And what people have found?

    Pretty sure it will always make a difference.

    Most engines are built to a compromise between economy, performance and reliability. You can tweak the balance on one at the risk of decreasing one of the others. So you can make an engine more economical, but performance will be reduced. You can increase performance, but economy and possibly reliability will be reduced.

    Of course, we all want more power, a bit of reliability is nice, and if we gave a shit about fuel economy we would all be driving Eco 3 cyl runabouts.

    Thanks for the reply had a chat with Paul about it,seems little gain for the cost,I was thinking if a bit of extra cost when doing the conversion would gain more power it might be worth it,but as Paul said going from a dying 2lt auto
    To v6 manual will be a massive difference.��
