    T-Bar Top Pillar Trim Thingamebob

Only 18 hours to go before Japfest and I thought I'd get the mud off D3 and clean a few things. It's not quite immaculate any more and there are a few stone chips and little things that I will fix eventually. (One item in particular that I hope Mr Woods never sees 'cos he'd hit me. I am so ashamed.)

Anyhooo. I take out my driver's shade-blind and a little bit of plastic trim lands on me. So I put it back. No. Try again. Still no. And try again. No again.

    Anyone else recognise this?...

    It came off from here:...

It's not gonna glue. It's not gonna screw. Under pressure now. Car show tomorrow morning. Mrs W and the kids will be home any minute. There's noting else for it.

Time to get the duck out and bodge.

Recalling, from my boarding school days, how surprisingly strong duct tape can be (whole other storey that I'll make up another day) I decided this must be the best course of action:...

But then!... A gust of wind!...

Clucking catkins! Move indoors and proceed...

Not exactly OEM but, in this case, OEM aint gud 'nuff. A cracking bodge to be proud of given the circumstances I'm sure.

Anyway, no-one's ever going to know now.

Please can anyone give me the proper name for these thingamebobs?

And; any suggestions where I can look for replacements?

And finally, any quacking duck puns?

Top Bodge. Looks fine to me.

Glad it didn't get you down.

Or leave you with a huge bill.

    :)

    C.
