    I didn't see any holes in the block and there's no oil coming out of it, but yeah, it could be junk and that sounds bloody awful hahaha

    I hope not but I'd be willing to bet the block is scrap, that flailing rod will have battered it.

    Can liners be changed in those?

    That's exactly what I thought. It's probably junk inside. Chris said that it's likely got a hole inside the cylinder wall, hence all of the coolant in the oil. I do think you can "sleeve" the cylinder but if it's junk inside, I'll slap it back together and use it as a core exchange. They say that it needs to be a rebuildable core when you buy a remanufactured engine and give them yours as a core, but they never open them to look inside. If that thing is useable when I take it apart, I'll be shocked.
