    C52 gearbox change to a c50

Well started the gearbox swop in the haslbeck as it was suffering from 5th gear pop out at motorway speeds, so seeing as I had a 46k mk1a gearbox I thought I would just slap that one in, after changing the gearbox mounts from the three gearboxes to make one good set of mounts (some monkey had been at the b gearbox) and making a reverse sensor removal tool by grinding a slit in a cheap socket, I'm at the point of putting it in so a small question is this I know there was a difference in flywheels with 2 different clutch sizes but was there a difference in the clutch release bearing fork pivot as the c52 looks like the removable pivot bolt is longer than the c50 one?
Also has any body put a washer under the the pivot bolt to make it easier to engage the clutch or is that an urban myth.

They're all identical from 84-89 so no need to change the pivot.
