Thread: Head Gasket

Im coming from a racing point of view.. I may just be bitter having blown an engine up on track due to oil starvation (and I wasn't the only one that day) I'd weld baffles into the 2zz sump

So it's completely stripped now, well apart from the head but I want to get it build back up to the deck & then tackle the head.

Little, well a lot confused at what bearings I need, the conrods have the markings on them as below with the bearings that come out.

    Conrods Markings Bearing
    1 E6569 D1FA
    2 F4036 D1FA
    3 E6571 D1FA
    4 F4003 D1FA

The mains have the following 1 is front of engine

    Mains Bearing
    1 D1GAZ
    2 D1GA3
    3 D1BB01
    4 D1BB01
    5 G1GA2

Both thrust washers or bananas have very little wear & I cannot feel any movement in the crank so not sure if they need doing or not, however if they are cheap it makes sense to do them

    Thrust F 1102
    Thrust R 1102

The crank only has 4 sets of markings that I can see as below.

    Crank Markings
    1 80597
    2 12211
    3 B
    4 CD
