Thread: Power steering ecu?

    Power steering ecu?

Looks like the power steering gets signals from the 5s-FE ECU. When I take the ECU away, it will stop working correct? How can I make sure it's ok when I put the 1mz ecu in? Do I have to leave it wired to the 5S ecu for it to function? Thanks guys!

Leave the power steering wires disconnected from the ECU, as it turns out there is nowhere for them to go to anyway on a V6 ECU, many think terminal PSCT needs hooking up or the PS won't work which is bollox, i've studied this in great depth and PSCT is a deactivation wire rather than an activating one.

In short, you have nothing to do, no wires to connect for the PS and it will all work as normal.

I have several hundred V6 mr2s running around with perfect power steering without PSCT connected, you're good to go.
