    piston help! and advice









    I bought some uses arias 9:1 pistons for my budget built 4agze aw11, one of the pistons looks a little rough around the edges and has a small knick on the top. I was wondering if anyone would advise against using it probaly hard to get a good idea from the pics but maybe some has experience and could give me some insight.

    Get it bead or vapor blasted first that will peen the metal and clean the crud off, then you can see if the glands are cracked .
    If in doubt get it xrayed but personally I would do the above and shove it in an engine with new rings otherwise if you doubt it leave it out.
