I started working on this again over the Christmas holiday, a prototype should be ready in a couple of months. Current spec is:

4 analog inputs for wideband O2, map sensor + 2 others
2 frequency inputs for RPM and vehicle speed.
CAN bus for external sensors and future expansion.
Time and Date
Alarm function to warn when any parameters go out of range. For example, boost pressure exceeded or AFR too lean on boost.
