I emailed the guy to see if he will come and test drive my car when it's done.. lol

He used to be on the Tele a couple years ago, before a channel sale cancelled the car show. Matt Farah, the fat guy driving the car. He's from "The Smoking Gun" car website. I think if he's used to driving stuff like this- he would be disappointed with my build.

Awesome little thing, this 1975 Corolla. It has the underpinnings of an SC400. I just found one for 1200 usd... :)

If there's a hall of fame, that should be in it. Why can't my friends be like that guy?

An interesting twist, I commented on the builder's video, and he subscribed to my channel. He said our start ups sounded almost exactly the same. Now that's cool.

    Here's his build page:
http://www.marksv8corolla.com/ I love what he says in the opening statements.

I love how he handled the manual transmission. I am going to get mine running, and learn closely from his build, to change over to a manual car. Hopefully. Maybe.

And how he handled the fender flares.

Yeah, interesting gearbox solution. I've seen a couple like that, but you need a gearbox that the bell housing unbolts from.

Right, he used a cheap Chevy Camaro one. What I want to know are the top secret clutch solutions. He'll be getting emails from me at some point...

A few seem to be using the hydraulic clutch release.
