Thread: Wet running MAF problems

    To finish this off, it turned out to be water running around the intake and into the MAF connector in very heavy rain. Cleaned all the pins individually, regular spray of wd40 during bad weather season (fortunately that's not all year in the south-east!:)) and all has been tickety-boo. Spare MAF sat on shelf just in case though. :)

    Dom the Maf plug should have a rubber gasket inside it, maybe orange in colour, all Toyota plugs do..... check to see if yours is there, may have gone walkies in a previous life.

    If the plug is cracked etc a smear of silicon will also work.
