    Chargecooler brainfarts

    Guys,

Who runs chargecoolers on their 3S? So far i have ammased the Celica pump, a Carlos Sainz top mount core, and a few other bits and bobs to run mine. All that's left is the cooling rad. Now, a new one from the current crop are well over a hundred quid (Focus RS etc). I seem to recal hearing an original celica wont fit anywhere, so I'm thinking of...

A motorbike radiator. Has anyone done this before? Is there a minimum core density and size i should be aware of before it becomes inefficient and will constantly heat soak?

    Ta!

thought the usual suspect was a fiat cinqucento rad?
I hate all southerners. As a point of reference, I'm stood at the north pole.

    Ditto what jiff said ^.

I think what his thought process is bike rads have to be lite weight and you can find most popular models cheap, cinquecento are like 1300cc or less so a bike rad sports bike tourer say hyabusa or gold wing would do it.
But if the fiat rads probably cheaper brand new why bother with an unknown crusty bike rad?

Yep - I will be running a CC on my SC'd V6, will be using a Bosch CC pump and the Fiat rad :)

    Doesn't get much cheaper!

Yup Ive got a Bosch pump and a Fiat Cinq rad on mine.. A proper CC rad is better than a Cinq rad though but a lot more expensive

Ah, ok dokey! What about the line size? You guys just use reducers to mate the rad inlet and outlet to the smaller CC lines?

Also, bloody good point, any 1000cc or above aluminium rad for a bike that i have found is way dearer than a cinc rad!! I had no idea they were as cheap as that.

I just figured that the size restraints would have meant that a bike core could theoretically have had a denser or better thought out core than a bike rad....

I use 19mm pipe work on mine which is the size of the Bosch pump outlet/inlet with reducers on the Cinq rad.... I got a mate running 24mm on his
