on some gt4 alt brackets theres an engine lifting hook,on mine i had to chop this off too as the IC piping was hitting it.Just remove the hook if its in the way basically.
There's no hook in mine, but from what I remember, this alt bracket, attaches to the same point where the engine hanger/hook was bolted too.
See the top left of the engine.. thats the hook I'm concerned about...
CFAUN what i usually do is install the engine with the stock mr2 bracket so ive got an engine hook,then swap them over when its in.
