    Subbys Mk1 2gr/custom bodywork

Pauls Mk1 is in a bit of a state, this project is part rescue mission!

It has been laid up for over 5 years and has some previous dodgy repairs going on, but we are on the way to making it all good again.

This car is getting the Woodsport wide arch treatment, SA rear bumper (same as mine) and a WSBC front lip, and a nice 2gr-fe to cap it all off, a replica of my own car in fact.

This is where we are, a weeks work has gone into it so far, the drivers rear quarter has had half of it replaced with an old panel but pretty badly, it was all manner of shapes!

It took a long time to make this area right...

The drivers door has been replaced, the original was too badly rusted....

The passenger side door also needs replacing, it has a very bad buckle in it which is not repairable, note the green line showing where the door swage should be....

So a very long way to go on this one but should be quite a transformation.

Glad its on its way - and I apologise for the state that I left it to fall into, but hopefully getting the 2GR fitted and all of the bodywork sorted should go some way towards my salvation....

That's looking cool should be a cracker, if it looks half as good as Paul's car your on to a winner.
Are you keeping it mica blue?

Subbys polished Borbet wheels arrived today in perfect condition...

We cannot risk the slightest marking on these so they were all treated to a full protective masking...

We can now crack on with wide arch making and all other fabrication work.

Well I had to ensure that the alloys were up to the quality of your work :)

Any photos from before work began?

I think I know who repaired that rear 1/4 panel. Good fun taking on other peoples work.
