330mm brakes - Too big for a Mk2?

This is looking rather feasible now. Keri of WMS sells a larger rear setup, and you can get over the handbrake issue with something like this:

AP Racing used to sell a front kit based on 304mm discs by the looks of it:

My CP5200 calipers can also be used on a 304x32 disc (http://www.apracing.com/product_deta...thick_pad.aspx)

So, need to either find some original mounting brackets, or get some fabbed up based on the original design. Emails have been sent out...

330mm fits.


in that picture the disks are a 324, but i switched to the 2008 IS350 fronts to get to 330mm with the same caliper mounting.

as you can see, some caliper grinding was required to fit a 17" wheel.


an 18" wheel would clear without issue.

The WMS 323x30mm one would need a 17" wheel, offset depends a bit on the spoke design and if you use the big T30x caliper in the photo, or the more common T20. 323mm is on the limit for the T20 in terms of disc size!
