a standard MK3 weighs in at 950kg

both weights are straight off the showroom floor with the car fully loaded (full tanks)

That MK1 figure is for an AW10 (which had a different engine and was never available in the UK) not the AW11 which depending on model and spec (1a/b, coupe, moonroof, T-bar, SC, Auto, A/C, cruise etc) weighs in at anywhere between 1020 and 1131 Kgs (kerb weight)
