Totally agree, I think the JH classic is the answer to a lot of peoples prayers, I did see Chris's car & it was as good as it gets. A kit based on an MR2 has got to be the way to go, & it looks like that Toyota was thinking Dino when it made the Mk2. Also saw a replica interior, again very impressed. My dad got right in to it & has 2 doors with 1/4 lights made, plus a one piece roof panel, not seen either yet but it will be mm perfect, his attention to detail some times has me climbing the walls. He also said he will move the handbrake. Not sure what to do now. Got a number of people willing to bring in Dino moulds from the US to supply themselves with a kit, it all sounds feasible, but I have always been a Dollar short & a day late & I don't want to sink a lot of money in to what's a very small market. End up shelling out the price of a nice real 308 GTS & still end up with a look-a-like, all being it a good one. Making big decisions has never been my strong point, probably end up getting another Cosworth.

When I saw what they can do with that engine I was amazed & a 2nd hand one is peanuts to pick up. Had thought a while back about playing a round with one & a 3 door shell I had, but thinking is as far as it got. Sold my BBR built RS500 last year as I wasn't doing much with it. Then I came across this site & saw the V6 being put in the MR2 & thought that looks fun. So got an RX300 to break, got a tad rough rev1, & had Midder Woods put in the 1MZ. Fappin master piece as usual & when I drove it home, Peace, no frantic hissing from the dump valve or manic warbling from the waste gate. All that malarkey does wear thin after 50 miles, don't care what any body says. Think the V6 N/A Toyota will suit me fine.

Well, feel a complete P - - - K!! my mates, well if you can call em mates, managed to wind me up about the Dino MR2 conversion not be available any more as the guy had gone bust, given up I got the lot. That was just because they knew I was dead keen on it & they said a 355 rep was a better bet.
Me, I think the Dino looks better, plus its got a V6, & sitting the right way. A good replica interior is available etc etc. The only thing I had to agree on was the gap between the door & front wing. The few ive seen for sale you could get a rolled up telephone directory in the gap. Still that must be able to be sorted as Chris Paddons car was spot on. Any way slowly im getting my own back, s - - t in socket sets etc getting even is good fun.

lol, i can pretty much confirm that isn't the case. I've been in touch with him recently over a couple of projects.

I've done a bit of work for John Hurst over the last few years, he's a thoroughly nice bloke, and last time he turned up my house he brought me whisky and the wife wine and flowers. Needless to say he's welcome anytime!
