I'm in the planning stages of my own supercharged 3litre, and I'm curious if a standard E53 tranny can be converted to an E153 without any major modifications to the housing. My research into this hasn't yielded any diffinitive answer on this.

your wanting to put the toyota 5 speed manual guts, in a BMW/ZF 6 speed auto trans????
if you mean S54(na mr2 trans) then nope...the trans body is far to small...unless the s54 is like the doctors tardis......
there is documented "how to's" on here somewhere for a longer final drive and a cheap LSD upgrade though;)

The NA mk2 box (S54) can handle around 300bhp, so maybe there is no need for a e153? If youre using a 3VZFE or 1MZ you probably dont need it. The 2GR however...
Hi mate mine was kicking out 285 bhp on a n/a gearbox.
Bet your glad you have a turbo box though now phill.
