air intakes- Ram pipes/trumpets?

I'm due to collect my V6 this week for the 355 rep.
can anyone tell me if its poss to replace the plenium and plastic looking top with a nice set of trumpets on the camry V6. :omg:

I'd like to give it a go.

It is possible, but not cheap. And I still haven't got it running properly.

Got the '91 V6 Camry home last night (on a trailer because its had a radical chop job- not road legal), has a short side pipe, incredible sound. Can't wait t get started.

You got one in the end Brian, well done. The spare engine I have is going into our MR2.ie track car over the next few months.

Yes Ray, I'm pretty excited, they're rare around here, as you know. This one was in a Camry sitting in a barn with 49,000 miles on the clock, and I had to have it. Started first time when I turned the key.

Thanks for the encouragement, I'll definately keep you posted. Funny enough the MR2 engine is running amazingly well right now, goes like stink and sound great with the stainless exhaust after I got it fixed. This forum is superb for seeing how people do the swap.
