Had a look at the throttle position sensor. It was around 16% while idling approx. 950 rpm
Idle is still varying a bit. sometimes 1000 sometimes 850. But it is slow going to 850 and idles a bit rough then.
I removed removed the pcv valve (blocking the port), put the transmission in neutral and blocked off the vacuum port that I use for the brake assist. It would then idle at 800, but still rough and slow to get there.
I do have a sort of blocking in the exhaust system as it goes from 3" to approx. 2" (standard n/a exhaust) at once.
I did a cylinder leak test a couple days ago while changing the manifold gaskets. All cylinders were fine with just a couple % leak.
My engine sat for a long time with a bit of gasoline in the tank. I topped it off with 98 RON and put some injector cleaner in the tank. Tank is 2/3 empty now.
I'm not sure if any of the above could contribute to the high idle, but I'm putting it out there just in case.
