    From what i've read 205/225 is the best stagger you can go for on the Mk3.

    If you put 235's on there, then there's a chance you'll balloon the tyre slightly and you'll get less of a contact area. Which is exactly what you don't want with that beast in the back.

    I'm going for some 205/225 17" Toyo T1-R's and see how they last.

    According to their website you cant get t1-r's in 225/40/17

    are you going for 45's?

    I came to the conclusion that i would need to run 16" rims if i wanted a better choice of tyres.


    Edit: to keep roughly the correct circumference you would need:
    205/45/16 & 225/40/16 (both t1-r sizes available)
    or
    205/40/17 & 225/35/17

    Ah in that case, i can go for the Marangoni Zeta Lineas. :)

    £250 all in.
