Digging your imagery there chief lol
Next batch of 2GR's is too far off for me i think. V8 is just that wee bit too extreme for a short term project (am giving it 3 weeks to a month all in).
1MZ's are hard to come by at the moment, especially within budget so i may have to get inventive.

What about mrv6's 1mz?
You could sell off the bits you don't want and could end up with a cheap motor at the end of it.
The charger alone will sell for about £1500 won't it?
Link around £500ish
gearbox about £300ish
manifolds about £400ish
if so you'd have a cheap motor left.

i'd probably keep the manifolds and link though.

I know what you mean I want my v6 noooow been of the road for nearly 3 months now.[:(
anyway would the manifolds fit a mk3 or am I thinking of the mk1?

No idea if the manifolds would fit, they may want to interfere with the subframe, in-fact they will no doubt.

Woohoo, just bought meself a cracker of a 1MZ. :)
Getting the Mk2 box built up with these bits, can you tell what they is?
Better go buy a flywheel too!
