Paul this might sound silly but what is that gauge just left of center of the engine?

    It's an analogue clock.

We've started fitting them as a nice retro touch.

    Do you like it?

Fuel pressure regulator would be my guess.

Nolite id cogere, cape malleum majorem.

When you say its a clock whats it actually for, looks like it should have a charger next to it- which is something I will be wanting soon.

Speaking of which, how's the 1mz sc in your mk1 holding up, Paul? Any sign of that rumor about the ringlands going to hell under boost being true?

Am only jesting, as Row correctly pointed out it's a fuel pressure regulator.

In the camry it has the regulator in the tank but there's not one in the Mr2 tank so we have to fit an aftermarket regulator.

This basically lets the pressure build up in the fuel rail to a given point, then bleeds off excess fuel to keep the pressure standard.

Other option is to make the fuel rails return style, as in the 3VZ but that requires drilling the rail and ain't worth the hassle when u can have a nice adjustable FPR on show in your bay.

lol We'll tell you when he's driven it.

He keeps getting distracted by pink convertible BMW's and forgets he's got the workings of an uber nice Mk1 there.
