    mk1 1mz weight

    Just thought i would list for those interested...i stuck my car on a weighbridge a while ago and it came in at 1060kg with a rough spec as follows:

    MK1a
    1mz
    turbo LSD box
    approx 1/4 tank fuel
    standard wheels and brakes at the time
    no spare wheel
    bodywork all standard

    That's pretty light!

    Forgot to mention it is a sunroof model

    Yeah i was quite pleased, thought it was going to be a bit heavier. Still not fast enough though, time for a rolling road trip to see what power its making and go from there

    And that's with the turbo box!

    U want to have felt the weight of it with the NA box, it utterly shocked us.

    950kg is the Mk1A book weight so 90kg extra for the engine and box and shafts and exhaust is brilliant.

    That's very close to the weight of my Mk3 with NA box and 3vz-fe.
    Mk 3.6 V6 Roadster (sold) now a Mk 3 Roadster avec turbo!

    950kg would be a dry weight as well? so factoring in all fluids and there is a lot of them in one of these, reduces the 90kg down even further

    My Mk2 with the same engine setup was :

    FL = 247kg
    FR = 267kg
    RL = 357kg
    RR = 365kg

    Total = 1236kg

    That was with 38 litres of fuel and a boot full of crap so I suspect the true weight is nearer 1200 dead. Not bad for a REV1 UK T-BAR :thumbsup:
