What's the difference, if any, between a Rev2 Turbo and Rev 3 turbo Block ?

I'm looking at one on ebay here. This is off a Rev 2 ST185 and I have a Rev 3 gas flowed, ported, etc head and was wondering whether there was any difference with the blocks.

I already have a Rev 3 complete engine that I was going to strip and rebuild, but if there is no difference between blocks then I'm considering this as it has forged internals and has had all the work done.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes the Gen3 and the Gen2 blocks and heads are different. Try a ST202 block.

What's the difference between the Rev2 and Rev3 Turbo blocks ? I know some people put the Rev3 head on the Rev2 block ?

One of the differences is that the oil feed for the turbo uses a smaller banjo bolt, I think REV1/2 are 16mm or something and the REV3 is about 10mm These are just guesses.

If it's just the block were talking about then I think that's about it.

The sump and all other widgets / manifolds are different though.
