paul,got to be standard wheelbase with cabin intrusion,you will have acres of space doing it that way.
If you intrude 120mm, then that will get rid of the gearbox issue and will give you only a very small driveshaft angle of a couple of degrees.
You would need to put a cross-member in and put a new fuel cell in, I guess in the spare wheel well.
