Mk2 1MZ Instead !

I've aquired a 1MZ-FE cheap so I'll be putting that in my MK2 MR2 instead of the 3VZ turbo I was building (that will be finding a home in a dedicated MR2 drag chassis as I don't want to spoil my road car).

I have the option of a pair of stock turbos off a RB26 Skyline GTR which could be just perfect for a 1MZ - Watch this space :thumbsup:

I'm only putting it back together as a stock engine. If the turbos go on it will be in a kittens breath boost format just for a giggle (and so when some numpty asks if it's one of those twin turbo mr2's I can say "Yes it is").

Yeah!, but £200 for what are virtually band new ones, I should coco.

I had to buy six new pistons, ring, pins and lock, timing belt with tensioners and a full gasket set which was £110 (£160 with shipping), now I thought that was well cheap.

This is mainly why I have budget left for the turbo's :thumbsup:

Just the left hand bank of cam clearances to do and she is ready for installation.

I have to install the engine, swap the fuel pump out with an intank 044 Bosch unit and install and map the Link G3 ecu all in one day.
