as the weather is so crap ive decided to dust off the grinder and cut a big fucking hole in KYTs bonnet..:boogie:
day1: got busy with the cutting disks and cut some lines into the old girl.
made a frame from aluminium angle and machine screws.
the holes were already cut in the bulkhead as i meant to do this mod years ago. oh well, no turning back now.!
plan is to make the whole thing out of ali and then fibre glass the underside to reinforce it. a 'scoop' will be made for the inside of the frunk to direct the air upwards and to direct any water downwards..
amazingly even with those holes cut in the bulkhead NO road water gets throu the rad and into the frunk..found this out after a long motorway journey in the pouring rain..
