my shaft is solid!!???

Just put the inner cv's back together afater they came apart while draging the lump into the garage. All were cleaned and inspected and found in good nick but now they seem to have seized up.
They are assembled properly i think, but they dont seem to have any range of movment in them, any ideas?????
