How to install a Clutch

How do i install a clutch on the 3VZ?
Where does the bearing go. (shows how much mechanical work i've done in the past lol)

Found it, just did'nt know where the release bearing went.

do we need to use a throw out bearing with the 3vzfe?

throw out bearing? is that the release bearing you mean? yes all mr2 gearboxes use a release bearing...it comes with the clutch kit.

Is it only the spring clips that secure the release bearing, seems a bit flimsy?

yep,the clip goes behind the release fork arms and the gearbox shaft trumpet holds the bearing in location,it cant come apart once fitted.

some cars use two bearings. throw out bearing goes on the engine/flywheel side and release bearing goes on the tranny/clutch side.

I wasn't sure if mr2s had both bearing or just one. I guess just one bearing is used then.

Installed the clutch with plenty of moly . cleaned out the old stuff first which was nice and dry, i've got a feeling that it was on the original clutch.
