Any recomendations to cure this? I have the anti-squeal shims and I have applied the grease. Is it just a case of wearing the pads in?
Also does anyone have any installation pics/diagrams just to make sure i have it all together properly.

gary i chamfered my pads on the edges which seemed to help....the gt4 owners complain about these a lot so its not just an mr2 thing.

Around all the edges, ie top and bottom or just the leading and trailing edges?
Also which way around should the pads be?
(please dont say friction material towards the disc lol )

There are already chamfers on the pads I have, 1 large and 1 smaller. Assumed they could be fitted with either chamfer leading or trailing.
I will have a play with them tomorrow and report back. cheers

Gary I use to have this on my celica and podge had it on his 1.5, we whipped the pads out and smeared the rears with copper grease which cured it but doesnt stop it forever!
My celica always squealed like a bitch under light braking, never did solve it completely!

Another problem fixed  .
As suggested I filled the leading + trailing edges. Also swaped the pads over so the larger chamfer on the pad is now on the leading edge.
I now only get a very slight squeal right before stopping.
worth remembering that is ! i should think it would work generically with other set-ups

We've found that grooved discs can help a lot...!
