Guys
i need your help. i am waiting for the phone to ring and here the words "bring it on" from god himself. Woodsy will be carrying out my conversion in a few weeks time and i was wondering how i can keep myself busy.
i have tried drinking till i speak to the porcelain god and beating the girlfriend just aint fun no more (well for her anyway) and its still 20 degrees too cold to get the bikes out of hibernation so any suggestions on how to pass the time are appreciated.
i guess i could look for my new clutch kit for the tubby and look at hybrid turbo prices and ecu's etc but need something away from the computer.
got the house to decorate before march but then.......nowt
between work on the motor i usually spent hours searching and spending on bits from.. the bay. clutch / belt 'n' belt pulleys? got a brake kit / suspension / intercooler / boost gauge / CV joints from parts in box? . oh and dribbling over on streetfire.net thinking one day im gonna have a few vids on there. whats hurts the most tho is when you get overtaken on a dual carrigeway by things like ford fiesta and saxo and bmw and stuff like that, infact everything overtakes my diesel clio, its realy frikin painful!.. but one day im going to make them all suck humble pie, and it'l be worth every ounce of overtaking pain ive suffered :blabla:

i guess i could go out and bait chavs in my alfa diesel. chipped it to 225hp last week and they sure as hell aint coming past that. cant even go and play in the 2 as the clutch has gone on it, saving its dying breath for the journey up north. gf's taken her mk3 away for the weekend as well>:[

Could be much worse...
Imagine having your project in a huge dry warehouse.
imagine having all the tools you need there.
Imagine having power, coffee machines and warmth.
Then imagine having to work in the same damn building as all this and never get any spare time to actually go near the thing.
Yup, this is now my seventh consecutive weekend at work and all I've managed to do since christmas is paint the floor pan and stick the carpets back in.
and before anyone asks, no, I don't get paid any extra for being here.

thats a sod Jiff.
my next idea was too pop over to MK and have a poke round the V6. that's 2 things i cant poke today.
now imagine building a 1.5 some 3 years ago only to be stuck in a different country not being able to drive the bastard..!!..AND finding out youre gonna be away for another 3 years in a different but equally far away country..grr
the anticipation is more than paid back when shes finished mate..

Nik,
i would be more than happy to give your car a gentle run every now and again, even babysit it full time. unless mine has a jealous streak i dont know about.
well i am always looking out for free dry storage and the odd turning-over..!

cant do dry storage unfortunately and what do you want your car on its roof for?
imagine having the worlds first supercharged mr2 3vzfe and only driving her three times before she goes away for a new kit, the imagine you get it back, then it goes away again...

imagine having an mr2 with an empty engine bay,a car that you've poured hundreds of man hours into and loads of cash on parts....imagine a v8 engine thats already mated to an mr2 gearbox and all thats stopping the two coming together is a little bit of time.....now imagine having to look at the pair of them every single day without ever getting to do 5 minutes work on them because you're too busy building customers cars, its pure torture.
don't forget Lilly either Paul

Paul,
i would happily forsake a week of my build to let you spend time on Lily. Then if the builds after me do the same you may just get it finished.
