Well after a long day of standing in the garage fixing these bits up...pissed out my face on copious amounts of alcahol due to it being the weekend, I managed to get all these bits together and replaced bushes and angle ground a few bolts...dam it! Now there all set to go back on the car with a few added extras; new drop links, braided hoses, uprated brakes, rev3 rear ARB, new tie rods and the obligatory Koni's and springs.

We all like pics so here's how I got on:

And now completely finshed:

Managed to get a few other bit sprayed too, changing the colour of the car to matt black...just for a laugh really.

Michael.

Paul, I saw your thread on spare bolts, any chance you have 1 of these I could have off you? I think this is the only one I need as far as I can remember.

Adamh, the rear Arb is from a rev3 but its going on the mk1 as its 19mm and should help the car keep flat round corners, the front strut bar is standard from a mk1 t-bar.

And the supercharger is only a dream at the mo, can't find one anywhere!!! If any one finds one let me know...theres probably a queue forming though.

Goldy, those are the rear tie rods from twosrus.co.uk, mine were completely fudged and would never have been able to be setup properly due to corrosion. These should last a lot longer too.

cheers,

Michael.

Lovely work, you know it was actually you who inspired me to upgrade to poly bushes and sort out the rusty bits while everything is off.
got the bushes, will hopefully be getting a nice clean finish like you've acheived. (i know nobody's gonna see it but what the hell, if a jobs worth doing an all that)
What did you clean up the metal with. wire brush attachment ?

Cheers for the comments Garbe, even if you don't see it, it is another layer or protection from the salt and shit.

I just used a dremel and sanding attachment to scrape of any loose surface rust then washed off in hot soapy water, then powder coated. Still more to be done and going for even more colours, still need a blue, pink and an orange in there at least!

All the colours are powder coated, red, white, green and black so far I think, I got all that for around 50quid. bargain.
