Ok peeps and peepettes,

i've been out the back today with my new angle grinder to make some alterations to the XS Power downpipe I have.

In some of the shots you can clearly see where the problem resides. I've tried to take as a descriptive photo as possible for the mods I've just carried out.

Hope this is able to help others avoid the potential overboost issue that is commonly related to XS Power Downpipes.

cracking write up ant,the odd thing is with this is that ive done about 6 swaps now with the XS pipes and never had an issue? yet other pipes do seem to be fouling on the wastegate....someone should shoot an email to them directing them to this thread y'know.

I think that XS may have addressed this issue, but it all depends on wether your DP is made with a new (fixed) flange or an old one with this straight edge.

I know a few peeps in the US have fired emails to them, so they are aware of it.

For ?80 though, a little manipulation is acceptable :)

Thanks for the Kudos though. Glad I've been able to give something back to the community.

Hi Guys, have had a few dealings with the XS D/Pipe and all of them with the same results as above and more!

The only pipes worth using imo are the 3" Aussie pipe and the KO racing D/Pipe, From the US of A.

Im aware the XS power pipe is cheap but if the issues are not resolved in the first instance it can cause massive probs later on.

I have mentioned the issues to XS Power and they do not want tolisten :-(

Its a real shame as the parts are cheap, look nice and readily available.

good work though :-)
