st185 calipers

if i get a set of these st185 calipers will they fit the early mk1 discs and caliper carriers? i know they will fit the later discs but would like to get the calipers first then change the discs later.

well according to brakes international there is only a small difference between the 1b discs but there is a lot of difference between the 1a disc

1a disc is 243x18
1b disc is 258x22

and the disc size for the calipers is 255 x 25 -import
and 277 x 25 for uk spec

i would say that the 1a disc would be way to small and miss most of the pad

Yeah, if fitting the twin-pot GT4 brakes you want the mk1b discs. They'll fit straight on if you're fitting the twin-pots, so you may as well do it at the same time.
