Its a little tricky blighter this one, more than one way to do it but i think this way is the quick no hassle and you have all the bits already method. The problem is that the stock mk1 oil pressure sender wont screw into the v6 block because the oil cooler and filter is in the way....but fear not and read on...

First take the brake servo fitting out of your 4a-ge inlet manifold (its got the same thread on as a mk1 oil pressure sender...

Then take one female brake pipe fitting, almost identical to mk1 oil pressure sender thread (it screws onto it almost all the way except for the last couple of threads so must be v similar pitch).

Here are the component parts....

Now the servo fitting needs a slight bend in it to take the sender away from the oil cooler pipes. Then this gets welded (theres a surprise!) to the brake pipe fitting....

et voila! one oil pressure sender adaptor....apply ptfe tape to sender threads...

screw the adapter into the block so that its pointing away from the oil cooler and then wind in the pressure sender, job done.

cheeky fecker that lodgeman isnt he! oops i just dropped a ball bearing down a spark plug hole on this v6 :)

Its a quick solution, the mk2 will just use the v6 sender as its just an idiot light (piloted by idiots too so it all matches lol ) .

You will laugh at my first attempt,i thought no problem fit the brake servo pipe into the block, then a rubber pipe and jubilee the sender into the end of the pipe so it bends out of the way of the oil cooler pipes lol i was scratching my head for ages wondering why the gauge wouldnt work....the sender needs earthing and i attached it to rubber....duh!! :)

paul "what can i weld today" woods ,over n out.
