i've got a bit of a leak coming from the top of my fuel filter. there's a chance that i lost the washer that goes there when i took the lines off. What kinda washer do i need to get to replace it?

did you replace the washers with new ones when you reconnected the fuel lines. If not that might be why its leaking. I think they compress slightly when you tighten the bolt. You're not sposed to re-use them as far as i know.

Now would someone please tell me one other website where you can ask a random question relating to a internal washer dimension and get an answer in 7 minutes...??

Hmm, good point that man. The down side of TB is that although it was the inspiration for my swap my damn car would be finished by now if I spent half the time working on it as I do reading this forum :freak3:

Just buy a new filter and they'll be with it. Fuels filters tend to be missed on servicing so it's as good a time as any to replace it.

Indeed!! That's the thing... I hate it when I've missed the forum for even one evening - there's so much good stuff floating around I don't want a great tip / priceless part info. to slip the net.

I hear that Owen, I just can't seem to tear myself from this place, not that I really want to :)

In the past I have registered with other forums, but none quite like this. The folk on here seem so much more helpful, friendly, and downright "brutal" in what they do. As I would like to think of myself I suppose.
