theres a round circlip further down the splines, this retains the two parts together... you cant see it, or do anything to get it off once its together.. what u do is hold driveshaft in vice... wallop the old cv precisely with copper hammer etc.. this compresses and often breaks retaining ring inside.. off comes cv. try squirting wd40 down between shaft & hole first. its not dead easy... but then 13 people here have done it... n/p.
my FBH is called murphy.

one of mine came off pretty easy with a big hammer smacking the end but the other one bugger me! took nearly an hour to get it off. started off doing it gently then got a bit harder, by the end i was smacking it as hard as i could an it still wouldnt come off!

this is the cv joint right?

the cv joint comes off the end of the driveshaft. the whole end bit comes off, and the clip you need to break is inside the cv joint itself.

You need to put the driveshaft into a vice, and bang the whole end bit off with a mallet or similar. try and keep the cv joint inline with the shaft and it should be easier

yes that is the cv joint, the whole thing comes off the driveshaft, not from a b or c. the driveshaft itself is just the metal bar which the cv joints connect to. So on the outer side you need to get the whole lot off including the swively bit of the cv joint(where the ballbearings are, the outer ones not the inner)
