im overhauling the front a bit as im sick and tired of chasing this knocking noise around.............how much will i pay for replacement shocks and top mounts up front? gonna do everything at once so i have started collecting parts:nerd:

Right at the risk of sounding like a broken record www.twosrus.com are my chosen folks, tis a US site so you'll get stung on shipping and maybe VAT (they have been known to put the decimal point in the wrong place on customs forms though). :beer:

If you're after standard ish shocks then the KYB GR2's are the way to go. You could get them from www.fensport.co.uk for (I think) ?150 +VAT the pair, plus postage :welsh: or from partco at ?75 each + VAT. If you go to two'srus though you'll pay $122.50 the pair including tax, so less than half the UK price. They also do lots of other goodies for your MR2, and are truly helpful enthusiasts. They also do adjustable Konis at rather less than UK prices.

As for top mounts that's a different story. There are the odd custom ones about (cusco, trd etc.) but they tend to be silly money, so unless they're shagged don't bother. Shocks, bushes and importantly arb link arms shoud sort your problems. If you've got an exta ?120 then whilst you've got it all in bits you could fit a set of fensport springs to finish off the job.

Just on a side note, when we got my other halfs SC it has missmatched suspension front to rear. (Stiff front, looser rear) and it was horrible to drive. If funds allow then doing all 4 corners at once is the way to go.
